According to the security researcher – Lukas Stefanko (ESET), over 560,000 users have been infected with malwares while downloading applications on Google Play.

Lukas Stefanko has found 13 malwares on Google Play. As an user completes the installation and launch the application, errors will appear and icon will be automatically hidden from the main screen, and then additional malicious files (.APK) will be automatically downloaded.

If you have unintentionally installed one of these 13 new applications detected, uninstall it immediately.

Scott Westover, who works for Google, stated that these applications violated the privacy policy, jeopardized users’ devices, and they were removed from Google Play, but before being eliminated, over 560,000 downloads and installations had been made.
